What kind of game is Parthas?
Parthas is a sex-friendly game with elements of fantasy and horror.

Does my character HAVE to have sex in Parthas?
No. Sex is not a requirement and there will always be gen or shippy, as opposed to smutty, prompts.

What is going on in Parthas?
Two deities, opposites in many ways, need a force called lik to survive and support this paradise and all that is in it. The only way to create lik is through interaction and the best way to create it is through sexual intercourse. Sexual intercourse with one’s hjarta, or soulmate, can cause one’s vördr to enter the kingdom of the gods for request. A person may request anything and if the gods are pleased, they will grant the request. OOC this will be run by exchanging threads, smut or gen, for goods, a better home or possibly a mini-plot. The river is simply a quick and dirty way to end a plot where a character is horribly depressed (toss your despair in the river!) or one where they are sick (wash away your illness!) or perhaps if they have lost something, material or intangible, in canon you might have luck fishing it out of the river with a net!

Can a character have more than one soulmate?
They can have a hundred or more, just try to make it a special thing.

Is there a character cap for the game?
Right now let’s be optimistic and set it at 100 with potential to raise it as the game grows.

Is there a cap on fandoms?
I’d say 10 per fandom.

Who is appable?
Canon characters from anime, books, comics/web comics, manga, movies and video games. Talk to a mod about Malleable Protagonists.

Anyone already in-game with the only exception being other versions of medium (That is to say someone from the screen could be in the same game as someone from the page and you might essentially have two Captain Americas running loose.)

Is there an age limit for players?
We ask that players be mature and 18+.

How many characters can a person play at one time? And how many can they app at once?
A person can play a total of three characters, four with one month’s proof of AC for all characters, and you can app two at once.

The fantasy is pretty obvious, where does the horror come in?
Creatures from Norse and Celtic mythology will drop in from time to time. You will be given the chance to hunt them. The deities also get testy now and then.

How about housing?
Housing will be very comfortable from the start. Two bedroom homes with working toilets and plumbing(what?!), kitchens and a sitting room. You will have chances to move up to better housing as the game goes on. The houses are made of stone and have wooden doors and shutters.

Events! How often?
Once a month unless serious illness or a death intervenes. Then there will be two events the next month.

What is the final word on pregnancy?
Pregnancy will be excluded from future game-wide plots. Any future character plots must be seriously considered and carried out to completion. Contact a mod via PM's if you are considering this.

What's this I hear about rewards?
After the three month mark there will be such incentives as paid accounts given out to players who have contributed the most to the game.

How will the Network function?
The network is more of a mental network. All you have to do is think of a person and you can send a thought to them. You can send images and they can even see through your eyes if you get good enough at using this ability. This is especially easy if you are Hjarta or Soulmates. You can also send thoughts to anyone and everyone, if you want. If a person is sleeping they may not receive your thought the way you intend. It will come to them in a dream. If you think hard enough, though, it will wake the other person up.

Will characters keep their memories/powers/et al?
Yes, unless said ability/memory/thingamajig allows them to return home or travel beyond Parthas.

Will gods answer prayers outside of sexual rendezvous?
The deities will only hear your prayers if you are giving a worthy sacrifice. It does not always have to be sexual. There are monsters that haunt this paradise. I’m sure the deities would love to see them dead.

What keeps characters from getting pregnant?
Magic. Only livestock get pregnant in this paradise. There will, however, be pregnancy/breeding kink plots.

Vampires! Werewolves! Other such things! How does that work?
If a vampire has the favor of the deities, and that's up to you, they will be immune to the sun and never grow hungry. The same is sort of true for werewolves. They will not feel the pull of the moon if they have the deities' favor. Apply this to whatever creature you have in-game.

What are the gods like?
Ceannasach is stern and a warrior and definitely brought you here if you are a champion of your people or if you have a warrior’s heart. They are more likely to hear your prayers. Address them appropriately and give them sacrifices you think they will like. Cuiristeach is gentle and the servant of Ceannasach but in this service Cuiristeach finds a kind of freedom. They brought you here if they see soft qualities in you or if they believe you would make a good servant. They don’t appreciate the same sacrifices as Cuiristeach.

Can characters live together?

How are they fixed for money?
Characters always have the option to live off the land. Since this is paradise, nothing is poisonous, it just might not taste good. There are berries, apples, pears, pomegranates, lemons, almost anything you could expect to find on Earth! …but mysteriously? No pineapple. Vegetables can be found here, too, but mostly in the markets, and that’s where gold comes in!

Characters are given 500 gold pieces when they come to Parthas. One gold piece can buy you a good meal. Ten gold pieces can buy you your own lot of land outside of the house you’ve been given to garden on. You can also find jobs working for shopkeepers, sell your body, become a temple priest or open your own shop or tavern for 750 gold pieces.

How does buying stuff work?
Well, when it comes to buying small stuff like fuel, food, seeds, seedlings, clothes, etc you can decide the prices and how much your daily income rises and falls. Be realistic. Does your character like nice things? Nice things aren't cheap.

When it comes to buying big things, you can only own one car, two horses, two homes (but never more than one in the same city,) and two businesses at a time. The businesses, however, must be shown to be successful.
